Low Gloss Clear
So to start out, I am not a pro, just an avid hobbyist working on a 55 Chevy 3100 that i wanted the light patina look. Have used Speedokote primers on several projects with great results, this it my 1st try with any of their top coats. I prepped for the clear by sanding the catalyzed single stage finish with 400 wet to bring out the colors underneath (to get the patina i was after). Mixed it 5 to 1 for "eggshell" and it was spot on. Shot it using a devilbis millennium 2000 gun with a 1.3mm tip at 28psi. Shop was a little warm so added ~2% reducer. Calls for 2 full wet coats. As I was getting going i had concern of running low on material so i went a little lighter. Should have ordered 1.5 gallons and followed the directions. Im still very happy with the look, just a couple of lower sheen areas. Not the fault of the paint, the fault of the old hack behind the gun! In reflection, I would shoot with a 1.4 nozzle, 2 full wet coats and make sure i had enough material! Great product.

Worked great!
Shot 5:1 ratio on a nova wagon. Cleared looked great. Compared to other low gloss clears I’ve used this one took quite a while to gas off to the desired sheen. After 8-10 hours clear was a uniform sheen as expected.
