SMR-225 Self Etch Primer is a unique, two-part, self-etching Pre-treatment coating. It is designed to give maximum adhesion and corrosion resistance on all types of bare metal. SMR-225 Self Etch Primer can be used on steel, aluminum and galvanized steel. Mixes 1:1 with SMR-226 Self Etch Primer Activator.

SMR225/226 Self Etching Primer
I honestly was a bit hesitant to try this product. I was starting a rather large restoration project and this would be the base foundation for which I was laying all my paint's trust onto. The product is very easy to use, I followed the manufacture's instructions regarding the induction time and began the spraying process. After an hour or so I checked to see if I could get the product to fail. You can't scratch this off the metal surface, the adhesion was excellent. The only thing that threw me off is the color was a military tan, instead of the green/grey. Since this gets covered with 2K primer it didn't matter, but thought it was important none-the-less.
